Increased output by module cooling

CoolPV modules by ecoTec are completely assembled modules, designed to generate electrical energy (green electricity) and thermal energy. CoolPV modules can be integrated in roofs or façades, or they can be installed on top of them, or simply free-standing. Extremely fine oval-shaped copper capillary tubes with a tube spacing of only 25 mm (approx. 1/10"), are laminated in the back of the silicon cells. Cooling the modules results in a higher energy yield of up to 35% per year and a longer service life. At a maximum surface temperature of the CoolPV modules of only 25°C (77°F), the temperature coefficient of crystalline silicon can be neglected. The module is operated in a low temperature range, so the temperature conditions in this case are definitely better than those of the STC.
